Food connoisseurs who've never been tempted to leave the confines of Amsterdam now have a good reason to travel south to 's-Hertogenbosch. On the outskirts of this charming fortress town with the unpronounceable name, you'll find Noble, which began impressing local foodies in 2014. As the name suggests, this is no humble hole in the wall. Whatever you choose from the small menu will be worth taking a second mortgage on your house for. But what else would you expect from the man who had the honour of serving meals to Madonna, Nelson Mandela and the Clintons? Vegetarians will find plenty to tickle their palates, but we went straight for the juicy black Angus steak. The wine list is also impressive as are the wonderful views of the surrounding Bossche Broek area.
