Here are some helpful hints and guidelines about local habits and behaviour. Some apply to the Netherlands in general and the province Brabant while others are truly typical of 's-Hertogenbosch. If the Dutch order a 'pint', it's actually only a 25cl glass. That's not even half as much as a London pint! A vaas (vase) is a 33cl glass, though. If you want show off don't just order a Heineken (or whatever's on the draught). Ask for a pilsje or a glaasje. A fluitje is even better. You'll get exactly the same beer, only in a different glass than the tourist sitting next to you.
