To celebrate Gauteng's annual jacaranda spring, Johannesburg In Your Pocket hosts the #JacarandaInYourPocket event series to showcase the most beautiful time of year in Joburg. This year is no different, with a line-up of events from Sat, Oct 19 – Sun, Oct 27.

The Rosebank Story heritage walk

Discover 'The Rosebank Story' with a lively heritage walk through one of Joburg’s most dynamic districts. This event is a collaboration with the Johannesburg Heritage Foundation (JHF) and the Rosebank Management District. Rosebank's Oxford Road was once a simple firebreak, but now the district is home to stylish galleries, malls, and architectural gems.

Join expert guides, Karen Curry, Kgao Mashego, and Carollyn Mitchell on Sat, Oct 19 from 09:00 as they uncover the area's hidden history, from farm boundaries to repurposed landmarks like The Firestation. Admire Art Deco architecture and stroll through a beautiful green belt, with coffee at Radisson RED Rosebank and refreshments at The Monarch Hotel included. Meeting place is at the angel wings in the Radisson RED piazza. There is parking available at Oxford Parks (Eastwood Road entrance). Tickets are priced at R395 per person (R285 for JHF members).
