Located in the Vatican City, St Peter’s Basilica is one of the world’s biggest churches. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Eternal City. From the ornate decoration of its interiors to its grand exterior, St Peter’s Basilica is absolutely amazing. Its interior possesses some breathtaking works of art, including the gilded bronze baldachin designed by Bernini and the ‘Pietà’ by Michelangelo. The basilica has a strict dress code (no bare shoulders, shorts or miniskirts.) It is open every day from 7:00 am until 6 pm and admission is free, so don’t be surprised if you see a waiting line.
