An excellent mix of contemporary art and architecture, MAXXI is a national museum of contemporary art and architecture located in the Flaminio neighbourhood. It is one of Rome’s most lively cultural centres, with a wide offer of activities, exhibitions, and special events. The building is breathtaking, and in 2010, it won the Stirling Prize of the Royal Institute of British Architects for its architectural quality. You will probably spend hours taking photos before you even enter the museum.
