If you’d like to impress friends, business partners or a special date, this sophisticated restaurant which has spared no expense on its design or menu is an excellent choice. Wine bottles and big slabs of beef become part of the décor here as they age in their own temperature-controlled refrigerators and thankfully they’re not just for show as the superb cuts of fillet mignon, tenderloins, chateaubriand, porterhouses and T-bones are simply fantastic. You can also splurge on the surf and turf (lobster and steak) or order the simple burger, which is anything but average and served with rubber gloves so you can eat it the way it was meant to be enjoyed – with your hands. A tartare menu will keep those in need of something raw satisfied and oysters can also be had. A rarity in Riga, the cuisine here is definitely worth the expense.
