Located in the cosy candlelit half basement of one of Riga’s most impressive art nouveau masterpieces, Casa Nostra is a labyrinth of warm and inviting rooms and niches with whitewashed walls covered in paintings, postcards and photos. All of the wooden armoires, bookshelves and cabinets are covered in bric-à-brac as well as dozens, if not hundreds, of full wine and liqueur bottles waiting to be tasted. Excellent Italian cuisine from pastas and risotto to pizzas and main courses like saltimbocca alla Romana and chicken scaloppini can be enjoyed under vaulted brick ceilings and in the afternoon and evening you can also take advantage of its antipasti buffet. Delicious homemade desserts are also on offer as well as authentic coffee made in a fancy machine.
