You’d expect the Mayor of Bratislava to do his work in a most elegant setting, and the Primate’s Palace is just that. This neoclassical marvel was built at the end of the 18th century and thrust into prominence in 1805, when it served as the location for the signing of the fourth Peace of Pressburg. Peace reigns supreme today, and the palace is open for visitors. The Hall of Mirrors is its most beloved chamber but charm lies around every corner, with a succession of rooms named after the colour of the walls. Delightful.
