Fieldbar cooler boxes have become a must-have accessory for a stylish day out in Johannesburg.  During a strategy meeting for the 2024 MaXhosa MXS Kulture Festival, Laduma Ngxokolo, the founder of MaXhosa Africa, fell in love with a navy Fieldbar cooler box. He decided to reach out to Fieldbar, who were also keen to collaborate. The result of this collaboration is the classic Fieldbar cooler box structure with an added MaXhosa embroidered pattern strap. Although the boxes are currently sold out online, lucky attendees of this year's MaXhosa MXS Kulture Fest were able to get their hands on one.

A wonderful new project called REKAOFELA, led by photographer and creative mind Trevor Stuurman, is an exhibition showcasing art, fashion, and South African soccer culture at The Manora pop-store at 44 Stanley until Sun, Mar 31. The exhibition tells the story of African football and its fashion. This exciting collaboration between Kasiflavour10 and designer Wanda Lephoto takes the story further by incorporating the classic characteristics of soccer kits from the '70s and '80s while merging prints and tailoring synonymous with Lephoto and his take on African cultures, traditions, and identities.

The First Sunday Market at Victoria Yards has been ranked as the seventh-best "flea market" in the world, thanks to its excellent five-star reviews on TripAdvisor. This ranking was done by Merchant Machine, who analysed publicly available review data from TripAdvisor and ranked listings tagged “farmers market” or “street and flea market” by their percentage of five-star reviews. Also making the top 15 was Pretoria's Market @ The Sheds. The Victoria Yards market is a vibrant and eclectic destination, a great place to find handmade items from local artisans, vintage items, and delicious food offerings. The market started with only 10 to 15 stalls in 2016 but has grown to house more than 40 vendors. Victoria Yards lead developer, Brian Green, said that the high ranking has benefited Victoria Yards as a whole, and they are very happy with the added international recognition that comes with it. Don't miss out on the next edition on Sun, Apr 7.
