This neo-Moorish structure was built in 1868 to replace the previously demolished Old Synagogue. It is a beautiful building outside and in, with a domed ceiling, Islamic motifs and stained glass. Restored in 1998, the synagogue houses an exhibition on the history of Czech Jews. On the upper floor is a display of silver artefacts from the museum's collection.
