This neo-Gothic house of worship was a direct result of the rapid development of Łazarz during the late 19th and early 20th centruries. Completed in the years 1905-1907 for the local Protestants (at the time Poznań was still in Prussian-controlled territory, and thus had a sizeable Protestant population), St. Anna's was converted to a Roman Catholic church in the final days of WWII.
