Located near Edmund Szyc Stadium, which served as a forced labour camp for Jews during WWII, this square was re-named in 2014 to commemorate Gentile locals deemed 'Righteous Among the Nations' by the State of Israel for risking their lives to help Jews during the Second World War. A simple concrete obelisk resembling a flaming torch atop a menorah stands to one side, commemorating the victim's of the labour camp. A second planned monument, dedicated to the Poles who aided Jews during the Holocaust, has yet to be built, despite the approval of a design and funding back in 2016.
