Right across from Cathedral Lock/Galeria Śluza, the name of this seasonal cafe/garden refers to its ideal location directly on the Ostrów Tumski tourist trail in what essentially feels like soneone's back yard. That 'someone' just so happens to be the Catholic Church, so don't expect them to serve you any alcohol, and also don't get your hopes up about the quality of the coffees and cakes - which are about the only thing this cafe has on its menu. Despite that, it's hard to pass up a pitstop in this simply beautiful garden full of tables, benches and blooming flowers. Staffed by youngsters whom really can't be bothered, Cafe 'Na Trakcie' is a bit of a missed opportunity, but it is what it is and has been for years: a perfectly lovely place to take a short rest and have an ice cream or mug of whipped cream before carrying on to Poznań Cathedral.
