One of Poland's greatest tourist attractions is the Wieliczka Salt Mine outside of Kraków. A truly amazing visual experience, it also does a roaring trade in health breaks, where the inhalation of salt has been claimed to have been helpful in the treatment of respiratory ailments. Poznań now has its own salt mine thanks to the ingenuity of its owners, who have brought in salt from the Dead Sea, and while you don't have underground lakes and chapels carved entirely from salt to wonder at, you do have the opportunity to benefit from breathing in the salty air. 50 minute sessions for up to 10 people are supposed to give you the same exposure to salt as a whole day spent at the seaside. Yoga is available and the cave is located under an old town tenement metres from the square. Seances, as they are strangely named, on the hour.
