There are few images more romantically Portuguese than the sight of a colourful tram meandering its up way up a slight gradient, so we’re pleased to report that there is indeed a museum dedicated to this most leisurely form of public transport. The Porto Tram Museum opened in 1992 and showcases all sorts of artefacts related to the city’s proud tram history, from old carts to historical information. The museum itself is found in a former thermoelectric power station, which is also rather cool.
