Podkarpackie or Subcarpathia in English is a culturally diverse and spectacular region, straddling the far southeast corner of Poland and bordering both Ukraine and Slovakia. Roztocze almost feels like a place that time forgot. The forests, the lakes and the vegetation remain pristine. Any joyous tramp through the peace and serenity of this area is sure to leave indelible memories: here, hidden away is the very distillation of Podkarpackie tranquillity. 

Finally, there is a turn towards a more urban reality and Rzeszów; this intriguing former Galician town and proud capital of Podkarpackie is clean, safe and bursting with greenery. It is also the beating heart of Poland’s cultural and historical heritage.
