Nearly three hundred puppets have found a permanent home in this original museum on Republic Square. The oldest puppet was created in around 1830, the largest is over two metres tall and all but one come from the Pilsen area. The museum is interactive, so children may play with the puppets, make up short performances and move the figures in the playhouse.
A special programme named Expeditions on Strings, the first father-friendly programme in Pilsen, has especially been created for fathers and their children. The museum also includes a café and children’s play area.
