At over 170 square kilometres in size and located in the breathtaking Baba Mountain massif, the Pelister National Park is one of the most popular destinations for tourists in North Macedonia. Reaching heights of 2,600 metres and bursting with wildlife including bears, wolves and eagles, popular activities include swimming in its mountain lakes, mountain biking along its many mountain tracks and rock climbing. The park’s information centre is open 24 hours a day in all but the harshest of weather conditions and is probably the best place to start an adventure for visitors with little mountain experience.
