The beloved musician and composer of the famous Saaremaa Valss, Raimond Valgre (1913 - 1949), holds a special place in the hearts of Estonians. The statue of the man and his accordion next to the Pärnu Kuursaal was created by sculptor Rait Pärg and installed in 2003.
