Experience, science and a hint of technology merge in the 48-month process required to properly age Malvasia wine in its typical small oak barrels. Malvasia is a dessert wine that goes well with macaroon biscuits, goose liver pâté, spiced and blue cheese. The winery Emidio Oggianu, which first opened in 1956 in Magomadas (6km south of Bosa and 57km north of Oristano), was completely refurbished in 1995 and was awarded inclusion in the register of ‘designated region of origin’ (DOC) vineyards.
