Nuremberg's sole surviving late Renaissance merchant house contains a better than average city museum, with thoughtfully designed exhibits using a lot of multimedia, light and sound to trace the city's history over a period of almost a thousand years. Of particular note are the building's interior (truly breathtaking and worthy of a trip in itself) and the further use of multimedia to present voiceovers using recreations of some of Nuremberg's former illustrious characters.
