Jardin du Monastère de Cimiez is a garden that is popular and beautifully designed in Nice. Located in the north of Nice and near the Amphitheatre, this large garden, in addition to being one of the colourful areas in Nice, has a history of being a former monk’s vegetable and orchard garden. The original layout around the well has been preserved. The church that stands on the grounds has interesting architecture and worth a tour as well. As visitors stroll around the gardens they are surprised with the stunning views of Nice and the mountains. The gardens are very close to the Matisse Museum, the path filled with olive trees from the museum to the gardens is worthwhile.
