One of the most beautiful buildings in Mostar, without a shadow of a doubt, and proof that yellow and orange make for a marvellous colour combination. Established in 1893, the school provided an educational centre for an educated populace, bringing the children into a formal academic environment and creating a fervent breeding ground for discussion and ideas. It all took place in a quite stunning building, a Moorish Revival wonder that positively shines in this prime position on Spanish Square. Today the building houses a secondary school and the United World College.
