Konjic’s most picturesque mosque rests opposite Restoran Han and next to the Zuko Džumhur house. The Mehmed-čauševa Mosque is a 500-year old beaut on the banks of the Neretva, surrounded by tombstones of important local Muslims and that intangible calm that only a Balkan mosque can create. The mosque is very much in use today and gets very busy around prayer time, and can be a curious window into daily Konjic life.
