Any city worth its salt has to have an imposingly magnificent cathedral, and Manchester doesn’t let the side down. Work on this Gothic beauty began was back in 1421, although much of the work was actually completed centuries later in the 1800s, which explains the 19th century aesthetics of the place. One of the most impressive buildings (of any kind) in Manchester, there is a certain ambience here that cannot be replicated and cannot be manufactured.
