Few cities come close to Manchester when it comes to art, but this isn’t a place that rests on its laurels when it comes to creativity. The Manchester Art Gallery is a collection housed across three exquisite buildings, including the Grade I listed stunner on Mosley Street. The gallery is full to bursting point with oil paintings, watercolours, sculptures and other creations, including an Egyptian jar from circa 1100 BC. Keep an eye on the website to see what exhibitions are on and what is coming, but make a point of visiting the gallery whatever happens.
