Tucked away in a beautiful valley some 17km southeast of Pehčevo along an idyllic forest road, Ravna Reka is the site of seven different waterfalls that are all connected by paths and wooden bridges and that provide a wonderful few hours of quality time in the peace and quiet of the North Macedonian countryside. With few facilities in the area, not only is it essential to take your own food and drink when visiting, it’s also highly recommended to go on one of the many organised trips to the falls throughout the year. Independent travellers looking to escape for longer might like to spend a night or two in a recommended nearby forest cottage.
