Right in the centre of Plaza de Cibeles stands a massive fountain, representing Cybele - the Roman goddess of fertility; the mother of the Gods.
The fountain built back in 1782 is an epic landmark itself, but it is also standing close by some monumental buildings, such as the Army's General Headquarters, Cibeles and Linares palaces, and the Spanish Bank. The combination of them all creates one hell of a sightseeing location.
