Tucked away in a side street across from the train station, this restaurant claims to serve up authentic Mexican soul food. Although we think that the food has been slightly adapted to please European palates, that's probably why so many locals love it here. The room has an urban Mexican cantina feel to it with metal chairs and wooden tables and features a huge wall mural by local artists Queen Kong. The food concept is based on a selection of six fillings and you can choose to enjoy them as burritos, enchiladas, tostadas or soft tacos. Alternatively you can order a burger, Mexican bowl, salad or fajitas. We started off with pimientos (small green peppers) with seasalt and a beetroot margarita, which was sweeter than expected, but well mixed and delicious. Although we found the beef and onion tacos to be rather average, as the tortillas didn't have that typical corn flavour, we washed it all down with a mezcal that tasted exactly how it should. Staff are service minded and friendly.
