The small village of Stoos offers seven lifts and stunning views over Lake Lucerne from the top of the Fronalpstock. Stoos is only accessible by cable railway or aerial cable car. It is also a good day trip destination if you just want to see the mountains and go for a winter walk. From the town of Schwyz take a bus to the Schlatti valley station (just a little over an hour from Lucerne by public transport) and enjoy the short ride up to the village with the spectacular all new cable railway, where you'll find several rental shops.
