Located in Górzyków on a picturesque escarpment at the bend of the Odra river, the Pod Lipą (ENG: Under the Linden Tree) vineyard has been in operation since 2008 and is now home to over 2,500 grapevines. The majority of these are varieties of the Vitis vinifera species, most commonly found in the Mediterranean, that are used to produce Riesling, Pinot Noir and Gewürztraminer. Additionally, these are interspecies hybrids with Regent and Johanniter. Red wine is made from hand-picked and selected grapes, and after fermentation, it is further matured for 12 months in Polish oak barrels. In 2017, the winery facilities were established, which includes a processing room, laboratory, wine storage cellar and store. The winery can be visited from April through October every year and, in addition to their on-site wine store, wine tasting with prior reservation is also available in two main pricing options - 50zł per person for 2 types of wine OR 60zł per person for 3 types of wine - and usually takes a leisurely 2 to 2.5hrs. There are currently no accommodation or restaurant services on site, however, you have the option of being graced with a fanciful cheese board and fresh homemade bread that perfectly complements the wine. Children are also welcome on site, and there is a tennis court, football field and a life-size garden chessboard with large pieces to move about. Short tours of the vineyard are also available, which gives visitors an opportunity to learn about the vinification processes. In addition to wine, you can also buy products of fascinating organic jewellery that contains elements of vine leaves from the vineyard.
