While the Lubuskie Wine Centre in Zabór occupies the eastern-most part of the Zielona Gora Embankment, the slopes of which have made many a happy vintner, the opposite end of this geographic contour is occupied by Marcus vineyard. The owners have attributed their successful cultivations to the soil having a typical post-glacial composition of sand and clay with different ratios and dominance. The winery, located in the tiny locality of Sterków, consists of an century-old barn that has been adapted into a centre of operation, which includes a tasting room for visitors. Adjacent, you will find a terrace and garden that perfectly complement the preserved rustic style of the architecture. The sincerity of the place, the simplicity of the wine, the charm of the landscape - these aspects are what guaranteed an unforgettable experience that can be appreciated by any soul, not just super-keeno-enotourists!
Organised through prior reservation, the 1.5hr wine tasting and tour at Marcus vineyard varies in price, depending on numbers, the wines available for vsitors, and whether visitors are in the mood for food! On that note, pizza can be served fresh from their woodfire oven, in addition to cheese, ham, and sausages from the winery's own smokehouse. Children are welcome, however, the owners lament that there are no special services for them. While there is no accommodation on site, there is a hotel located a short distance from the winery.
