The Gostchorze Vineyard belongs to Guillaume Dubois, a Frenchman of Polish descent - Dzięki, Mama! The mouthful of a name comes from a village where Monsieur Dubois' estate resides on the green hills near Krosno Odrzańskie. Here, on the northern bank of the Oder River, he has been cultivating vines since 2009 and producing sparkling wines using the traditional method. In fact, Dubois was one of the earliest producers of sparkling wine in Poland. His training in this area was completed in the Champagne region of France, and his first proper vintage in 2014 received very positive evaluations from French and Polish laboratories. From this, Monsieur Dubois was confident to fully engage in his own systematic production process, which he named GostArt. He believes that the success of his sparkling wine is the result of the excellent-tasting grapes that matured in optimal geological and climatic conditions. The favourable microclimate of this valley and the sandy loam soil, warmed by the air streams from the meadows over the Oder river, are what make Lubuskie grapes thrive and Lubuskie wine so delicious!
