A permanent fixture of the city's cultural landscape, Lublin's Folk Art Gallery (PL: Galeria Sztuki Ludowej - STL) specialises in the sale and promotion of traditional art from the Lubelskie region and further abroad in Poland. In addition to an amazing wealth of folk handicrafts, the gallery's other activities include workshops in various fields of art, thematic lessons on Polish customs and rituals, meetings with folk artists combined with shows, music workshops, live traditional music dances, exhibitions, lectures and fairs, exhibition and presentation of works of folk art. Their goal is the intergenerational transmission of the still alive elements of Polish folk culture. Meetings with tradition are meetings with authentic folk artists who share their knowledge, passion and skills. The workshops are run by folk artists - STL members - from the Lublin region and other regions of Poland, accompanied by exhibitions and lectures for all ages.
