The city information office is not only a great place to get advice and recommendations about what to do and see in Łódź, but also the best place in town to pick up city-related gifts and souvenirs. Choose from a range of surprisingly hip shirts, keychai

You are right there isn't an absolute abundance of literature available in English at the Tourist Information Centre but there is your esteemed publication readily available which does a pretty good job of covering what isn't available in other forms. Having said that having recently had Polish friends visit England (London Cornwall and Bath - hardly deserts of tourism. There was only a guide to Bath Abbey available in Polish. Pretty shoddy treatment if you ask me. Particularly as there are supposedly hundreds of thousands of Poles living in the UK. So when it comes to having a moan about what's available in English try and see it from that perspective.
