It doesn’t work on windy days, but then you wouldn’t really want to use it on a blustery day, would you? The Llandudno Cable Car is one of the town’s great attractions, opened in 1969 and ferrying visitors back and forth along the Great Orme ever since. The views from the little cars are absolutely unbeatable, vistas that stretch out over the Irish Sea towards the Isle of Man on one side, with Snowdonia National Park on the other. Be sure to book your tickets ahead of time, and maybe give it a miss if you’re a bit worried about heights.
