At first look this appears to be another boutique selling handcrafts in the old town, but what makes it special is the fact that it’s a project run by the Ljubljana School for the Deaf. With this deaf and hard of hearing children, as well as those with speech difficulties and autism, take part in workshops and classes to aid in their socialisation, learn new skills, and make friends. The items produced as part of this - knitwear, pottery, soft toys and small tables on our visit - are high quality and reasonably priced. Whether you’re shopping for a unique souvenir or are interested in the project itself, look out for the black and white sign.
