As their name suggests, Veganika is a vegan restaurant, but that doesn't mean it's only for vegans. Everyone who likes to discover the unlimited potential of plant ingredients is welcome for an excellent lunch in their homely interior at the end of Gornje. Owner and head chef, Nika, loves nothing more than discovering new techniques and combinations of ingredients that add variety and break the monotony that is too often associated with vegan dishes. Thus, the home made kimchi, which you will meet in many dishes on the menu, may be a little different every week, and if you are lucky, you will also be able to try Nika's tempeh or some other experimental ferment. Don't forget to take a look at the showcase, where daily fresh pies and other desserts are on display, which were the first reason Veganika became famous half a decade ago.
When they say that everyone is welcome at Veganika, they mean it - family lunches, business meetings, or just a catch-up with friends. They're also happy to serve water and cookies to your four-legged friends, and digital nomads and avid readers are warmly welcomed into the cosy living room in the basement of the restaurant.
