Swedish musician Håkan Hardenberger is considered one of the best trumpeters of our time. He studied with Pierre Thibault at the Paris Conservatory and Thomas Stevens in Los Angeles. He became a virtuoso interpreter of the classical repertoire as well as a convincing performer and subscriber to many new composers such as Tōru Takemicu, Hans Werner Henze, Rolf Martinsson and Arvo Pärt. Recently, he is also appreciated as a conductor. The set consists of two distinctly contrasting sets. In the first there are three parts of the great classic Joseph Haydn. The second part is marked by one of the great musicians of the 20th century, Polish composer Witold Lutosławski.
