The fundamental purpose of the institute is to introduce Hungarian material and spiritual culture in the broadest sense, its natural wealth and its social life, as well as its history and current social events. The institute's activities are based on the assumption that language and culture form an inseparable whole, so learning about language and learning about culture go hand in hand. The fundamental tasks of the institute belong to the field of culture, education, organization of education and scientific and research work. The Liszt Institute strives to build a network of contacts abroad, as well as with foreigners living in Hungary.
