Set within the castle itself, the café is a living exhibit, designed by leading local architects, furnished with the kind of chairs and tables that distinguished Slovenian interiors in the 20th century and often playing host to a diversity of museum events. Operated by the Kaval Group, the team behind some of the best venues in town, the menu has all the usual café favourites, including coffees, teas, alcoholic drinks and cakes, but it’s the setting that really makes it worth the trip.
