Officially opened for business in 1813, Gorjanc is one of the longest running traditional Slovenian restaurants in and around Ljubljana, although at the same time it’s also one of the newest having undergone extensive restoration and modernisation a while back. Along with the standard hearty Slovene fare, such as blood sausages and sauerkraut with pork fat cracklings, the menu makes room for various refined fish, pasta, salad and other gourmet dishes. During the working week there’s lunch specials on offer that can be seen in advance on their website.
