Although most of Ljubljana’s sights are within easy walking distance for even the most unfit or laziest of people, the city possesses fairly efficient bus network for reaching attractions further afield such as the Zoo, BTC City and even distant Šmarna Gora. Although you may still be lucky enough to see one or two Tito-era antiques plying the roads, the entire fleet is currently being modernised, so most of the time you can expect a comfortable ride. Schedules are displayed at all stops, and fares can only be paid using an Urbana Card or a Slovene mobile phone.
