First opening in Maribor in 1989, Gallery Hest opened a sister gallery in Ljubljana in 1993. Since opening, Gallery Hest has organised many different art exhibitions across Slovenia, where they represent different artists with varying styles and approaches. They have also opened Gallery Hest 35 which focuses solely on exhibiting and selling art produced by younger Slovenes.
