'First we eat, then we do everything else'. This simple adage of renowned food writer and author of seminal culinary works such as The Art of Eating and Among Friends, Mary Kennedy Fisher, is the perfect philosophy on which to base a restaurant, and that's exactly what the folks behind the charming Don't Tell Mama have done. Fresh, homemade dishes are prepared to perfection and served up in a uniquely designed setting that feels just as (aesthetically) fresh as the food. The menu has a very noticeable Italian and Mediterranean influence, from the starters, pasta first courses and mains all the way through to the desserts and obligatory post-meal espresso. A welcomed addition to Ljubljana's food scene, that's worth venturing out of the city centre to taste.
