We found a way how to bring (street) theatre in public space despite the COVID-19 restrictions and limitations! We started an initiative ANA UNDER YOUR WINDOW, that aims to support artists and the community in times of crisis and offers a new safe format of events: culture is brought to the community, to the courtyards of apartment buildings, where residents become spectators through their windows and on balconies. We are also visiting nursing homes and hospitals.
The project not only made culture accessible during quarantine – and long term, as is seems the restrictions might remain for some time – but also fostered a sense of unity and community. And what’s the most important, we draw smiles on people’s faces!
