Each weekend from May to October, the Old Castle of Celje hosts the traditional Living History summer programme, co-created by numerous cultural and historical societies from all over the country. Their members are often seen as real reincarnations of medieval knights and court ladies. What is a fire spectacle? What did traditional clothes look like? What food did the knights use to replenish themselves for new battles? How funny or annoying was it for a court lady to discretely announce to her knight that she fancied him? How did she use her maid or the knight’s squire to transfer the information? Once you have visited the castle printer, your count’s wander around the castle is completed.
