This is perhaps the most refined and, dare we say, francophone café in Liepāja, if not the entire nation. Opera music sets the tone in this cosy space where all the table tops are made of marble, a crystal chandelier hangs from the ceiling and colourful antique lithographs of flowers cover the walls. Enjoy what may be the city’s most diverse selection of fine wine with a cheese plate, fresh oysters (for a price) or a delicious dessert. The grandfather clock behind the potted grapevine is a little slow but the service is snappy, which is a shame as you’ll definitely want to linger.
