Don’t think of it as a train station. Think of it as a city within a city. The Central Station, the world’s largest terminus, was completely renovated in 1998. Aside from its 26 train platforms, you’ll find three floors with 140 shops and businesses. Everything from grocery stores to specialty shops is at your service. And because the stores are located in a train station, they’re allowed to be open on Sundays too. The Deutsche Bahn ticket office is located on the ground floor in the centre of the main hall.
