The Trinity Leeds shopping centre is another place to go and spend lots of money on food and clothes you might not need, but it isn’t the trappings of modern day consumerism that drags us back time and time again. It is the curious presence of a massive silver sculpture hanging from the sky, a glittering packhorse that has been there since the centre opened in 2013. It is a curious image and then some, a strangely beautiful piece of equestrian art in these most globalised of settings.
